Story
The trades for this series are pretty far behind the monthlies, and I've fallen a few volumes behind on the trades, so I didn't realize Noelle Stevenson wasn't co-writing anymore. It's a real shame, because while the volume as a whole was still pretty good, her final story (Chapter 17) was by far my favorite.

I really loved seeing the Janes on their first day of camp, and the Roanoke cabin come together. The mermaid story arc was still pretty good though. It mostly just felt like a side-story from the bigger story about the camp's mysteries.

Artwork
So in addition to the loss of Noelle Stevenson, it appears that Brooke Allen also left with Chapter 17. I may be even more bummed about her departure. I really loved her art style.

I thought Carolyn Nowak did an OK job overall, but her style is a bit too cartoonish compared to Allens.

I'm not sure if they settled on a permanent new artist, but I hope so because it's going to take me awhile to adapt.
