I liked how this book went more into detail about Allie's father and her past. I am intrigued to see if her father holds her memories as a child and can slowly give them back to her.
Spoilers for previous books, and minor spoilers for this book.
UGH. What a disappointing read. Instead of character development in Allie, or her relationship with her father, or her relationship with anyone, she tends to have fits when she doesnt get her way. She puts everyone in danger, including herself, and the only reason she made it out of the gates with Zay was because her father is strong, and smart. Things which Allie is not.
Suffice to say I have grown tired of Allie and the way she carries herself, and not even Shame, Terric, and Zay can make up for it at this point. She is just so selfish. And when Victor cows to her at the end and says that she has done amazing things for magic, I was totally baffled, what? She has? Does being an idiot count? It must. Alright, she did a nice thing with the hounds, I'll give you that.
Another thing, why hasnt Allie suspected that she has been closed? With her gaps in memory, as soon as DM brought the closers into the story, that was my first assumption.
