Pardon the pun, but I ATE THIS UP. I cannot remember the last time I finished a book this fast and enjoyed every minute. If you loved The Change by Kirsten Miller but wouldn't mind a little more sugar to go with your feminist vengeance ‘good for her' with a supernatural twist story, this is for you. On a personal taste note, I really appreciated the fact that, unlike a thriller setting, the stalker sub plot didn't come with the, admittedly realistic, endless turmoil. Protagonist was all “time to HANDLE this” and it was just so refreshing. Some dark topics, but a nice balance of feel good moments.
Author probably could have phrased possible demisexual rep with a bit more sensitivity, but the protagonist was working through some insecurity about different aspects of herself she considered broken, so I'll give it some grace.
⚠️abuse, mention of SA, addiction,  fatal pregnancy
