Magnificent Ms. Marvel, Vol. 2: Stormranger

While I liked Ahmed's first volume, this is an improvement, aided partly perhaps by returning things to the New Jersey setting - making it feel more like Wilson's original run. True, it's missing some of the quirky humour, but the story strikes a good balance between Kamala's home life and her superheroics. This is particularly true in the second portion where (as is the nature of such comics) supervillains keep interrupting her while she faces a family crisis. One of the villains comes from an unexpected angle, and there's more use of the supporting cast than in the previous volume... and the background thread with Bruno even moves on a little.
