Marc Brown's Playtime Rhymes

Beautiful illustrations. This is absolutely lovely. Full of nursery rhymes with finger plays, some of which I am familiar with and others are new. I know of Marc Brown because of Arnold, but I love him as a picture book illustrator from [b:Ten Tiny Toes|13526147|Ten Tiny Toes|Todd Tarpley|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1355045640s/13526147.jpg|19086854]. This treasury is perfect. Perfect to read all at once and perfect to use little by little in learning and sharing memories with your preschooler or tot. I definitely think it would be an awesome addition to any preschool curriculum.

If I could, I would buy a copy of this book and give it to every new parent in my town. It's exactly what parents need to sing and play little finger games with their young children. If parents had this book to use with their children from the time they were infants, children would start school knowing everything they need to know to begin learning to read and do math and think.

So help us teachers, folks. It would be a great gift for all new parents.
