Good teen vampire book! Best part is the introduction of the character to the Hogwarts-like vampire finishing school.
3.5 Stars.
I enjoyed this book. I don't like the writing, it seems too weak and undeveloped. However, I really like the world the Casts have created. They liberties they have taken with vampire mythology are really intriguing. I've heard very mixed things about this series. But I still want to say I've read it.
Even nostalgia couldn't save this book from a 2 star rating, but like, at the same time it isn't a bad book.
My best friend loves this series, so we went on vacation and I read it on the drive there so two hours this was great!
I loved this book. The story is about Zoey Redbird who is Marked as a vampyre fledgling. She has to leave her normal high school and transfer to the House of Night a private school for forming vampyres. She has a crappy family who doesn't support her and has to adapt not only to the Change but also a new school and friends.
This was a great book, the characters are entertaining and relate-able(even though they are vampyre). The story was good and left room for more to happen (I know it is a series and i am super excited about that). The way that Zoey interacts with others is angst-y and kind of teenage dramatic, but it works.
