Mary: An Awakening of Terror

Mostly middling and then there was - of course - an unnecessary SA scene, and then I just lost steam and put it aside for like 2 weeks before finishing it.

The afterword really rubbed me the wrong way. Women already know that hateful voice coming from inside fed by the wash of it on the outside, and the male author realizing that he has that voice as well, but focused outward, is not the revelation that he thinks it is. We've been talking about the internalized hatred of women that people have for so so very long.

I need to read more horror written by not cis-men.
