Master of Restless Shadows: Book One

Master of Restless Shadows: Book One

DNF - PG 37

Why?

I will be returning to this book - after I reread the first four books in this interconnected series. And, also, likely when I'm feeling more in the mood for fantasy politics - because right now, I am not.

I'm not feeling the names of people I don't know being thrown at me and I have no idea who any of these people are and it does not work as a stand alone, I do not believe. Also, I'm really hoping that rereading the previous books will help me with the main characters in this book - because I don't know what's going on with Aziz and I kind of hate spending any time with Atreau at the moment. (Which, if Atreau is who I think he is, that's a shame, because I think I liked him at one point.) (And I think Narsi is so bland, but that might not change, except if this is more what I want to read.)

So, yeah, I'm going to be marking this as a DNF I want to try again, because I'm not feeling it, I need to reread the previous seventeen hundred pages to understand who these people are and why I should care, and because it is cluttering up my TBR and it needs to get off there one way or another. (And the only other way it would be getting off my TBR is by me skim reading it, and this book does not deserve that.)
