Welcome to Sandover Prep, where the delinquents roam... and you can't trust a soul. Finding out your mom is marrying some rich guy you've never met is enough to make any eighteen-year-old's head spin. And for RJ Shaw, it gets worse: he's being sent to Sandover Prep for senior year. If there's one place a misfit hacker like RJ doesn't belong, it's an ivy-covered all-boys boarding school for rich delinquents. There's no point trying to get along with anyone. That is, until he meets Sloane Tresscott in the woods on the outskirts of campus. Gorgeous and sharp-tongued, Sloane is pure temptation. Except Sloane is the one girl he's forbidden from touching. The headmaster's daughter. Good thing RJ doesn't believe in rules. Sure, Sloane insists she's swearing off boys this year, but he wants her bad, and he's going to win her over if it kills him--unless her ex-boyfriend, the ruling king of Sandover, kills him first. Luckily, RJ's unwittingly made some friends. His new stepbrother Fenn, a pretty boy with a self-destructive streak. Lawson, self-proclaimed agent of chaos. And Silas, the All-American good guy who can't actually be as nice as he seems. If RJ wants to survive prep school and win Sloane's heart, he'll need to figure out a way to use all the secrets hidden in the walls of Sandover.

Y'all... I loved this book so much. I can't deny that I was skeptical of it taking place at a boarding school. As a 30 year old, I was worried it would be too young for me, but I absolutely devoured it. Misfit gave me Gossip Girl vibes which made it kind of nostalgic for me. This book takes place at Sandover Prep, an all boys boarding school for “troubled” teens. There are 5 POVs, but this book mainly focuses on RJ and Sloane. RJ is a self-proclaimed misfit who keeps to himself and prefers it that way. Sloane is the headmaster's headstrong daughter, so naturally the two find themselves attracted to each other. This book has so much delicious tension with amazing pay-off. I would equate the spice level to that of the Off-Campus series. There is an element of mystery and an ending that has me needing book 2 right now. There are a few different sub-plots happening in some of the other POVs, and I am eager to see where those character's stories are going. Another win from @ellekennedy and I can't wait for more from this world and these characters. This is an adult romance, 18+ for language, sexual content, and themes.
I know by now Elle Kennedy can really do no wrong and this was another great book from her, quite different from her other books but just as well written in my opinion.
I loved the mix of romance, drama with the other guys, the hacking RJ does, the mystery around Casey's accident and think we'll see more from Silas and Lawson in the next book.
