File this under “things-I-find-on-my-phone” and I'm glad I did. I wanted something manageable in time and content to entertain my ears while I did a jigsaw puzzle and this pulled me through on both fronts. [a:Karen Stivali 5170527 Karen Stivali https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1315009861p2/5170527.jpg] delivers a a sweet NA about to college roommates finally acting on their desire for each other. Collin and Tanner have shared a dorm for a while but haven't progressed beyond superficial friendship. They're very different. Collin is the son of a tight knit, conservative, Irish Catholic family. The idea of being attracted to men is something he can't allow himself to contemplate for the very real fear of losing his family. Hell, Collin isn't even comfortable being nude alone, save for the shower! Tanner is the son of NYC theatrical people and has recently come out as bi, though not to Collin. These two have been secretly lusting after each other and a fortuitous masturbation session spills all the beans. What follows is the boys having all the loving behind closed doors, Collin struggling with how much he's ready to reveal to his family & the world, and Tanner being patient but also getting antsy. It's sweet, seriously HOT, and narratively consistent with age of the characters. There was a bit of a rush to feelings towards the end that IMO could've been postponed for later installments (there seem to be 3 books with Collin & Tanner). The draw for me was [a:Robert Neiman 386292 Robert Neiman https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png]'s warm and sexy voice but the story drew me in. Sadly I happen to somehow own bk.4 but not #2 & #3. Ugh. I'll be heading over to Audible and dropping my shekels.
