When I first read this book I wasn't sure what to say. The illustrations ‘are' fabulous. But... it did not seem to be much of a story to me. Yes I got the point behind it all about less is more, and too much and really be TOO much, etc. But it didn't excite me. Yet then on another avenue we started exposing our preschool daughter to some wordless picture books and then my respect and fondness for this book too on a whole new level. There is ‘so much' within these pages and it really is capable of making a little mind ‘think', even if I am incapable of putting my thoughts into words about it.
