needed a short book to help me out of this reading slump and I think it worked idk
some stories actually made me gasp so I guess that means it was good. Some stories were lacking though
Cute stories for the younger crowed, I was looking for that scare factor and didn't seem to ever find it.
Still just as fun as I remember them being! It seems like the shorter the story the creepier it is to me, and the original illustrations are a must when reading this!
There always seems to be one that is sort of personally scary, like book one had the lady driving with the high beam truck following her. This one has a lady on a subway with “drunk” men the last one being dead with a bullet in his head. This I find actually kind of frightening because they are so easily imagined and personal in a way, like I can believe it to be true.
