Salem, Massachusetts, B&B owner Charlene Morris will need the luck of the Irish—and the help of a ghost—to unveil a hooded killer . . . Charlene has hired a van to ferry her B&B guests to an all-you-can-eat corned beef and cabbage dinner hosted by Salem’s Irish community at the Ancient Order of Hibernians club—but she should have booked a hearse. It’s never a good sign when the family black sheep drunkenly crashes a party by punching the guy dressed as a leprechaun. But things go from troublesome to fatal when Charlene stumbles upon a second brawl in an upper room—and this fight Connor Gallagher loses, his anonymous assailant rushing past Charlene, hidden by a hoodie. Now Detective Sam Holden has another homicide on his hands, with Charlene as the only eyewitness. Even if she can’t give the police sketch artist much to go on, Charlene is determined to ID the murderer, with the help of Dr. Jack Strathmore, the charming ghost who haunts her B&B. The answer lies in the motive, and to uncover that sleuth and spook will need to shine a light on Connor’s shady past—before the killer pulls another Irish goodbye . . .

⭐⭐⭐.5 – Cute cover on this one!
I quite enjoyed the previous book in this series (my first introduction to these characters), so I was looking forward to diving into this installment. And it was enjoyable, just not as much as the previous book. It could be because I prefer Halloween as a setting in my cozy mysteries,
Mrs. Morris and the Pot of Gold is another great addition to this series. This time around Charlene gets mixed up in the mystery surrounding a tight-knit family and a murder during the St. Patrick's Day festivities.
Jack, the friendly B&B ghost, makes an appearance as he helps Charlene as only a ghost can. Jack is one of my favorite parts of this series. Not sure I would want a ghost in my home...but it's fun to read about them LOL
Charlene gets herself into some tight spots throughout this investigation, and makes some new friends along the way. There is also a mystery surrounding one of her B&B guests that she, of course, has to unravel.
Another fun installment in the Salem B&B cozy mystery series. I have loved every book so far and can't wait to see what mishaps and schemes Charlene gets up to next.
I sincerely appreciate the publisher and NetGalley for the review copy. All opinions expressed are my own.
