The conclusion of this run of Ms Marvel is another great piece of writing, although perhaps rather ‘bitty', with a number of random comedic short stories thrown in together at the end. For the bulk of this collection, though, we have the usual mix of superheroics and a teenager trying to live her regular life. (That she's also a Moslem superhero is now something that's so settled in that it's just part of the background). There's some good fun from the supporting cast, with fun characterisation of the main villain in amongst the craziness. It's both down-to-earth and uplifting, a positive view of the trials of everyday life even as Ms Marvel herself is sometimes depressed by it. This run is going to be missed.
