Ms. Marvel Vol. 9

The first few episodes don't feature Ms Marvel at all, instead showing her (non-superpowered) friends trying to cover for her in her absence. This section is mainly comedy, and it's beautifully done, with lots of little details going on in the background of the art alongside a well-written main story and accompanying social message. Once Kamala returns we're into something that's more teenage angst, which many people might find off-putting, but, again, it's really well done, providing a strong emotional core to the story. It's perhaps not for everyone, but the quirky humour and believable characterisation worked for me.
