This was my first Tessa Bailey book, and I doubt it will be my last. The story and writing were captivating and kept me inthralled. It was hilarious and sweet, with a mystery to boot.

I loved the grumpy/sunshine element to this story. Myles's bounty Hunter to Taylor's teacher was just pure perfection. I loved how Taylor saw beneath the hard exterior that Myles put out to the world. She saw his hurt and who he was inside. Just the way, he didn't see her as this weakling. They saw each other the way nobody had seen them before.

Can an insta-love also be a slow burn? Because that's the feel I got when reading this book. Even though everything happens over the course of five days, it feels like it builds, which is the mark of fantastic writing. When you don't even realise how short of a time has passed.

The tension, oh my word, the tension with this couple is off the charts. And once they finally give in to temptation—it's like an inferno.

I loved the murder mystery aspect of this story. Maybe because I'm such a Criminal Minds fan, but I could totally see myself in Taylor and wanting to help get to the bottom of the whodunit mystery. I liked how the investigation was blended into their relationship and the progression.

There are some notable side characters. The police officer, Wright was hilarious. I just loved him. And then, there was Jude. So many hints about a potential relationship for him. I really hope Tessa plans to write his book. I'll be one of the first in-line to sign up to read it.

Definitely a must-read.

Why, if the story was so good, and I enjoyed it so much is it only 4.5 stars, you ask? Well, there were a couple of moments were I was jolted from the story due to inconsistency. It's possible that most people wouldn't even have noticed, but the way my brain works made it distracting. But nothing that would knock a full star or prevent me from picking up another book by the author.
