2.5 stars? Almost 3, but not quite.
So this was a rather unique retelling of Peter Pan- which I really liked, and that's where it gets tricky!
I did really like the three Dalton siblings' bond throughout the book, and I really loved the unique idea Saedi had that made the plot and world.
There's only a few cons for this book for me (WITH SPOILERS):
Wylie and Phinn's relationship had some forcefulness to it that showed in the way they acted, thought, and talked. It was hard for me to like quite a few of the moments they were together because of that, it wasn't Instant Love at first- but once she's decided to stay on the island that's exactly what it's like.
I didn't care for Wylie much, I cared more for her brothers than her.
Once again, the cliche of Peter Pan being evil in almost every retelling of Peter Pan. Though I will admit, that doesn't bother me much when it's played out right!
Overall I did like it quite a bit and plan to read the next book, but it was not a favorite or a re-read!
