I just finished New adult by Timothy Janovsky and this is my review.

Nolan Baker is ready for all the good things life can offer but at 23, he is barely making ends meet and working waiting tables in a comedy club, paying his dues in a cut throat business.

As luck would have it, that once in a lifetime call comes during his sister's wedding.. a wedding he invited his best friend and secret crush Drew.... Still, he can't pass up the opportunity and rushes to do his comedy skit.

Crushing his set, Nolan is riding a high when he returns to his sisters wedding. Ditching out has caused his family to disown him and Drew.... He walks away from Nolan too. Feeling defeated, Nolan wishes on a set of magical healing crystals. Wishing to be already living the best part of his life.

Waking the next morning to find himself 7 years into the future. A top comedian, living the dream.. yet he is all alone. Desperate to find out why he is so estranged from everyone he calls the one person he knows he can trust. Drew. Problem is Drew isn't the same person he knew and he is going to have to do the work to fix all the things he broke.

Wow. This book was brilliant. The writing was out of this world. Each page was as delicious as the page before it. I thoroughly enjoyed every single word.

Loved the plot! Who doesn't love a time travel trope! It was a super clever concept to have Nolan time travel from crystals. It was so much fun watching Nolan realize that life isn't about the glitz and the glamor but family, love and friendship. Also proves there can really be too much of a good thing.

Right from the get go I could tell Nolan was one of those people that floats by, not really paying attention to the damage his actions cause others. It was amazing to watch his character develop after seeing what it was like to be without his family.

I loved Drew right from the beginning. Big softie who loves books... I cannot be the only one. Watching their relationship turn from friendship to more was super cute. I need more books like this in my life.

LGBTQ rep... brilliantly done. I found the whole book charming and I now I need all of @timothyjanovsky books.

5 stars.. all the stars!!!
