3,5 stars for a series that starts out a bit wobbly and cringy but grows better over time so gonna round up to four stars bc i really enjoyed the following books in the series

this is the gotta catch em all of harem and poly series

pro:
- always a sucker for poly books. while not everyone has a sexual relationship with each other, some of them do
- lots of different dynamics to explore (sadly that gets a bit lost in all the books, since there are too many lovers and too few pages)
- Raine's maker tormenting her and trying to get them to leave the case alone was interesting, wish we got scenes about it

con:
- the cringe of some scenes nearly ended me because apparently becoming a vampire ignited Raine's rebellious phase and it was not fun. that said it was luckily only a few scenes otherwise i would have crumbled
- not enough pages to give room to all the lovers, which sometimes can make the relationship seem shallow
- while i enjoyed the sexy scenes the writing wasn't particularly drool worthy, wished the spice was with a bit more substance
