3.5 stars. Quick and refreshing read with a couple of takeaways I'm glad I got.
Nick and Norah. Two broke strangers and their totally fucked-up experience in love, collide unexpectedly at an odd hour of the night. Exploring a second shot at life and love, after having one hell of a past. It's a rollercoaster ride of emotions for them as they unravel their vulnerabilities and start helping each other understanding life, and in the end, falling for each other!
Nick is a sober guy or what Nora calls him- a poor schmuck, who plays as bassist in a band named The Jerk Offs. Nick is highly sensitive and obsessed with his Ex, Tris, and her memories.
Nora's different than Nick but she has one thing in common with Nick: her own damaged past relationship. With his ex named Tal, things were worse as Norah was constantly reminded by Tal that she's inexperienced in areas and unwanted unless she becomes the version he wants her to be. While living around Tal's life, she lost the purpose of her own life, and eventually, when they broke up, she was left completely blank with no future to look forward to.
I liked that this book delivered what it was meant to provide to its reader: the idea of falling in love again.
