No Matter the Wreckage

I'm not a big poetry reader, I have to be in a very specific mood to not lose patience with it. But, I do want to read more poetry.

I've seen some of Sarah Kay's spoken word poetry around, and really liked a lot of it. So, I gave this a go. Some of the poems really touched me, but there were a few that didn't speak to me. On the whole, I liked it.

This is one of the only poetry books I've ever read that felt completely unedited. These poems were so long, not because it needed to be, but because the poet attempted to put so many things in what couldve been consise and amazing. Less is MORE. Putting your brothers whole life story in one poem is never going to turn out good.
