I just finished Not your Crush's Cauldron by April Asher and here are my thoughts.

Olive lives on the edges of her life. Teaching rather than doing but when she assigns her college students a project... One that has them stepping outside of their comfort zones, she realizes she can't ask them to do something she has never done herself. She makes her own list and her roommate... The delectable Bax Donovan, guardian angel on a motorcycle, is more than happy to tag along.

The problem is Bax isn't doing this to help Olive get out of her comfort zone. He was assigned her as an assignment. He isn't in good standing with the agency as it is and the only code of conduct rule he hasn't broken yet is falling in love with a charge... The more time he spends with Olive and her smile, the harder it will be to not break the rules and maybe his own heart too.

Hands up if you are already a supernatural singles fan... Yep both my hands are in the air! This is book 3 in the series and to answer your first question, no, you do not need to read the rest of the series to enjoy this book. It works as a wonderful standalone but once you get a taste of these supernaturals, you will want to collect them all.

Olive is one of three witch sisters, triples if you can believe that. She is the quiet one. The safe one but she is the one Bax can't help staring at. I love Bax. He is the epitome of angelic bad boy and he is an artist... Not just any artist... A tattoo artist... On a motorcycle. If you aren't weak at the knees yet then the expertly written steamy scenes will have your loins on fire in no time. Friends to lovers isn't my favorite trope but the author has an uncanny ability to make the transition seem flawless, natural and right.

Watching Olive find herself and fall in love with Bax was lovely but I kinda wish she could have realized her full potential wasn't so tied to a man. Other than that I loved the plot and I already adore all the characters. I am itching for a Harper book next... PLEASE!!!! The writing is phenomenal and this paranormal romance series should be on your bookshelf.
