if you enjoyed this story and want something similar you should definitely check out the manwha ‘the hopeless desire of a witch'. The plot from book one is very similar to it, with the later story taking a very different and darker route.

Probably the only reason why this didn't become five stars for me is that this is one of the few stories where I fully support the trope of one of the love interests breaking up with the other in order to protect them. Elyse was taking drastic measures in the past to save the life of an innocent and you're telling me she can't get it together to distance herself from Kilian? The author didn't convince me (or rather, convinced me that Elyse's determination to protect someone she cares about is stronger than her desire to feel good in the moment) and so the debacle that resulted from it felt a bit forced.
