I actually come to this series from the dragon sequel - which is super fun for me as put together some of the mysteries before they are really explained, because I know some of the ‘history'. But, besides that, I loved this book. First up, Noah was a favorite of mine from said dragon sequel - so I was super excited when I found out this was his romance story. (Admittedly, I couldn't remember who his partner was, so...yeah.)
What is so interesting for me is that if someone had just described the romance in this book, I would have said it was not for me. I am not, as I have mentioned, the biggest fan of age-gap romances - which this one definitely is. Also, I do not generally - or at all - like enemies-to-lovers romances. (At all, at all.)
But, because Noah and Andrew are never cruel to each other and are mostly ‘enemies' because Andrew gets under everyone's skin, I liked this. It is fun, with the banter and the fact that neither of them really act differently towards each other as they do other people. Andrew is blunt and kind of a pain in the ass and Noah is snarky and kind of antagonistic. And this isn't just limited to their interactions with each other. (Seriously, cannot stress this strongly enough! They treat each other like they do pretty much everyone else.)
So, much to my surprise, I really, really liked them together. (Note: including the dragon sequel, Noah and Andrew are my second favorite couple so far - and, honestly, I don't see anyone ever dethroning Wil and Steffan.)
