Honestly, I enjoyed the first book better. While the first one set everything up for a big finale- this one didn't quite deliver like I expected. It had the right ingredients but just wasn't put together at the right times if that makes sense, at least it didn't seem like it to me.
I did still enjoy it, and it explained some things better- but I could've used those in book 1 instead of now when I don't. I wanted more from this duology, but overall it was a good read.
