I really enjoyed this installment and it is probably one of my favorites so far. I think it is the book that really expands the entire Luxen/human world and we see the true nature of what the gang are up against. I also appreciated that JLA did such a good job of showing the horrors of what was happening to the characters but also their love for each other keeping them grounded as they plotted to get away. She also kept it real by not having everyone make it out alive which is important in terms of believability. I'm super curious to see how this series wraps up in the final installment.
