After a wild bet, gourmet grilled-cheese sandwich, and cuddle with a baby goat, Alexis Montgomery has had her world turned upside down. The cause: Daniel Grant, a ridiculously hot carpenter who’s ten years younger than her and as casual as they come—the complete opposite of sophisticated city-girl Alexis. And yet their chemistry is undeniable.
While her ultra-wealthy parents want her to carry on the family legacy of world-renowned surgeons, Alexis doesn’t need glory or fame. She’s fine with being a “mere” ER doctor. And every minute she spends with Daniel and the tight-knit town where he lives, she’s discovering just what’s really important. Yet letting their relationship become anything more than a short-term fling would mean turning her back on her family and giving up the opportunity to help thousands of people.
Bringing Daniel into her world is impossible, and yet she can’t just give up the joy she’s found with him either. With so many differences between them, how can Alexis possibly choose between her world and his?
The New York Times bestselling author of Life's Too Short delivers a refreshingly modern fairy tale perfect for fans of Casey McQuiston and Emily Henry.

Stop the presses! I found a romance that I love and it's NOT a slow burn???
honestlyyyyyy i really loved this. i feel like this book had the perfect balance of being lighthearted but also having commentary and something deeper than the traditional rom-com formula. this one really surprised me but i literally have not stopped thinking about it since i've read it.
4.5 ⭐️Okay, where can I get myself a guy like Daniel? He had a golden retriever personality and I loved every second of it. This book was so cute and I always love a story where I am pulled in instantly but also drawn to the characters so much that I feel like I know them.
Part of Your World is about Alexis and Daniel. Two people that are polar opposites in every way but they come together so beautifully. I literally swooned when reading Daniel's POV. He was the sweetest and had a pure soul. I was thrown off by the age gap at first but mostly just because it was brought up so casual. 37 year old woman and a 28 year old man? How crazy! Kidding but it was refreshing to read.
They definitely had things in common though due to the fact that they both had legacies in their lives and they were assumed to continue on those legacies. Alexis' felt more like an obligation the become the chief at her family hospital where Daniel's was pure excitement to continue the legacy of being mayor.
I really enjoyed this book! I teared up at a few parts where I felt my own heart breaking for the main characters due to their differences and thinking they could not be together. I felt like the ending was brought together wonderfully. I am always a sucker for happy endings.
This book was given as an ARC by NetGalley for an honest review.
A simple premise, but a strong execution. I really liked the leads who felt like real people, though maybe they don't feel as iconic or distinct as other romcom couples as a result. The ex-boyfriend redemption arc was great, especially because I was worried he would become cartoonishly evil. I mean, that role is reserved for the female lead's dad, but I'll let that one slide. And is it just me or did this one have Little Mermaid vibes? Was that intentional? Am I going crazy?
