When it comes to Greek mythology, I think that Rick Riordan has the market cornered on it. He has managed to make the Greek heroes just as fun and interesting as anything else he has made. He takes multiple stories and makes them fun and cool to listen to. I loved all of the modern pop culture jokes, which normally, would have annoyed me in any other book, here is the highlight of the show. I also love the chapter titles, which are a return to form from the Percy Jackson series!
The only major weakness of this book is that the very thing that makes it so good can also make it a little grating at times. The humor, while good, can become a little predictable after awhile. I would suggest reading a story a week. This way each one is funny without becoming boring, as happened to me. Overall, I give it a four out of five. Even if this book won't change the world, it is something I greatly enjoyed.
