Paras (the nickname for the central character, a horse, in this book) discovers her stall door is open. Out into the world of Paris she goes.

Soon she meets a dog named Frida who helps Paras find food and a place to stay. The two meet a pair of ducks plus a highly knowledgable raven as well as a boy named Etienne and his charming blind grandmother. And all of these wander around Paris for some time.

Maybe it's just me, but nothing really seemed to happen in this book. I love Paris. I love horses. But it's not enough to throw a horse into Paris and think we all should keep reading. I did keep reading, but to what end? I hoped for more.
