This is an OK cover. A fairly decent representation of the hero. Interesting typography. Pretty good composition. I would have moved the author's name up higher to sit under the title and the tagline. But overall it works.

So I have to admit I wasn't sure what I was going to get going into this one. It sounded like a dark romance right up my alley, but that isn't really what this turned out to be at all. While this didn't turn out to be dark in the least, it did turn out to be a cracking good read.

It was well written. It had an interesting plot. It had twists and turns. It had a couple of very likable main characters. It had some interesting side characters. It had smokin' hot sex scenes. It had humor (especially in the second half). As for the overall pace of the book, it falls into two different halves. The first half was a bit up and down pace wise for me. I found it dragged a bit in places. When we hit 50% though this one takes off like a ROCKET. The last 50% of this book reads very much like an action movie. Think a bit along the lines of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Both the main characters really come into their own in the second half of the book. The banter between these two had me in stitches. I wasn't overly crazy about a certain aspect of the ending, but it was all wrapped up in a sweet epilogue.

Two thumbs up from yours truly.
