owwwn... I must confess I had read this book in my teenage years and it was kind of blurry in my mind. I mean, when I thought of it, I ended up thinking of the movies (and, lately, of Bridget Jones' Mr. Darcy).
So it was a lovely surprise to read it and see how ahead of her time Jane Austen was - there's intrigue, there's irony, there's romance, there's even a moment when you see yourself sitting on the edge of the chair thinking, sooo, Lydia, yes or no?
I'm glad I reread it. it felt better than the first time. And yes, Mr. Darcy, you rock.
