Many people think that dreaming big means you quit your day job, and sell everything you own. What if there were a different way. This book is based on Acuff's experience in cultivating a dream job that changed his life-- and the world in the process.

I really feel like this book was written for me; it is something of a relief to realize that there are other people who identify with what Jon Acuff writes about. Despite the title of the book, the first chapter is called “Don't Quit Your Day Job,” and there are some good points he makes that I need to think about. If your day job isn't your dream job, you need to think about what your dream is and what kind of work it will take to get there, rather than just quitting and looking for something in your next job that it can't provide. You'd become a serial quitter, something that Acuff says he used to be. I want to avoid that.
Although I don't really have a dream job, I read it and have been working better at my current job. I have also rediscovered some passions I had let go of. Read it even if you have your dream job!
