When I first discovered Elvis Cole, I thought the mysteries were great. But a few years ago, I thought Crais had jumped the shark, particularly his fascination with writing as a dog. I'm happy to say that this book has gone back to the old Elvis books. One quibble: why does Crais capitalize “Attroney” throughout the book?
