~WRITING - PLOT - PACE~
So I ended up enjoying this one much more than I did the previous book. It was a bit less “rapey” and the five heroes were less harsh in their behavior towards Red. In this one, it actually felt like they had feelings for her. Again as with the previous book, this was a super short read. It took me just over an hour to finish (at 85% on my Kindle App). Both these authors are quality writers so it was no surprise that this was a well-written story. The pace was perfect. The plot was original and engaging. Last, it was all wrapped up in a sweet ending.

~HEROES~
We have five heroes in this book (Grimm, Rood, Helm, Beo, and Canis). Even though we don't get any POV from them, these guys were a lot more likable than the seven heroes of the previous book. Oh, they were still “rapey” in parts. I literally cringe every time they have anal without lube...shiver. But the authors did a better job of developing their characters and therefore their feelings for RED came through much better and all of them were very likable.

~HEROINE~
RED...I liked Red. She was a stronger character than Snow (of the previous) book. She also seemed to enjoy being treated harsh a little more (lol). She loved pain and punishment. She was feisty. She was an enjoyable heroine.

~SECONDARY CHARACTERS~
None really. A few villagers, but this book is pretty much all about Red and the five wolves.

~FAVORITE QUOTE~
“What big eyes you have, Red. Are you afraid?”

~HEAT LEVEL~
HIGH. Not surprisingly this book was packed full of smutty goodness. Some scenes were a bit rapey, but they were offset with some softer scenes as well. We have anal sex. Oral Sex. Whipping. Punishment. And...YAY...we also get a scene with Red and all five of the guys together.

~ANGST LEVEL - SEXUAL HISTORIES~
LOW. This wasn't an angsty read at all. Sure there are some acrimonious exchanges between Red and some of the heroes, but nothing over the top. Red was a virgin. All five of the heroes hadn't had sex in a LONG time. There was no OW or OM drama.

~IN THE END~
I enjoyed this one a lot. It pretty much ticked every box for what I look for in a short and smutty read. Great writing. Engaging plot. Likable characters. And loads of hot kinky sex with multiple partners. Therefore yours truly is going to give this one two HUGE thumbs up. I can't wait to see what these authors have in store for us in the third (and final?) book.
