Red Thunder (Thunder and Lightning, #1)

I enjoyed this book. I like stories about plucky, competent people building a spaceship out of junk.
I kept thinking this book sounded familiar and I think it's because I've read other books like this rather than having read this book before.
It doesn't pay to think about this too much (where do you buy space navigation and control software
for home made equipment?) but the adventure is fun.
