Red's Untold Tale

I watched the first season of Once Upon A Time, but that was it so maybe much of this book was lost on me. I spent the whole book waiting for something to happen and nothing ever did! I felt like maybe this was written for middle school kids who watch the show because the writing was very simple and everything was very bland. There was no excitement, nothing that was foretold happened and no secrets revealed. sigh I was hoping for a bit more.
