Unfortunately, this one really didn't work for me. The first half bored me to tears and the second half was rushed with the heroine acting like an over the top spoiled whiney bitch.

OK so since the book has been published I am going to elaborate on why this one annoyed me so much. First I will say in my second chance romances I prefer either they both sleep with other people or the both remain celibate (excluding reasonable extenuating circumstances). That is my gold standard.

In the case of this book, they both slept with other people while apart. BUT and it is a HUGE but, the entire fours years they are apart the hero is keeping tabs on her. He stalks her at her college. He buys a house for them to live in. He makes plans to get her back after she is finished college. He has her parents and brother and her BFF helping him. They ALL adore him. Epic love right? WRONG...because when the “sorrow of missing her got too much”
If the author had both these characters move on and not see each other (the heroine didn't see the hero ONCE in all the four years apart, so her trying to move on by sleeping with OM made perfect sense to me), I wouldn't have had an issue with his sleeping with OW. That is not how the author chooses to paint the story. She presented us with pages and pages and pages of this guy whining and telling anyone who would listen about how much he LOVED her and how much he MISSED her. Alas, actions speak louder than words and his told me he really DIDN'T love her as much as he claimed.

And THAT is what brought this book down from a 3-Star review to a 2-Star one.
