I've been a fan of S. Usher Evans since my husband purchased the first three books of her Razia series as a Christmas gift for me. She hits it out of the park once again with Resurgence. Jack and Cam are partners, working to manage human/demon relations. Jack is still reeling from the death of his wife, Cam's sister, at the hands of a demon, and his grief shows in his work. Demon Spring is coming soon, and that's always got the potential for trouble. Word has it, this time, there may be big trouble. And then there's the mystery woman, who's killiing demons - but may be a demon herself?

The action is non-stop in this book, but it's not all kickin' butt and takin' names. The bond between Jack and Cam is delightful. Cam is a wonderful female protagonist, sassy, spirited, and smart, and not afraid to tell Jack how things are when he needs it. I want to read more about them in future books! And it's nice to see a friendship between a man and a woman that's just that - friendship.

The demons are vividly portrayed, the characters are interesting, and the plot moves along nicely. If you like the paranormal, give Resurgence a read. Well worth it!
