Sorta torn on this one...in many ways, I thought this was one of the stronger reads in the series so far...yet ugh...this feels like its primary purpose is to set up Chosen. Which had darn well better deliver on what the title promises, as Stein's been teasing us with this Chosen thing for far too long.

General griping aside, this was a fun read. I dug the case, and the supernatural stuff behind it (sure, it took Anna far, far too long to figure out what was going on, but then again, she wasn't reading her life in a novel).
