Christina Dodd's introduction to Rockin, Alaska is a funny paranormal mystery. This quick read introduces the new Police Chief Rodolphe Dumas, a transplant from New Orleans. He may have a slow drawl, but that is the only thing slow about him. He tackles multiple mysteries to clean up his town all the while chasing BigFoot sightings.
Everyone in town has seen BigFoot at one time or another, but this time the big guy gets caught on camera and there is lots of blood. The Chief takes along the only “honest” cop with him and that is new cop Gabriella Donatti. While they get to know each other in a platonic way, they chase after the trail of sightings.
This might sound kind of boring, but it is not. There is action, shootouts, destruction, and some humor in the Right Motive. This is a quick read and introduction to the “Murder In Alaska” series. I like the Chief and Gabriella and I am waiting for the other shoe to drop about the rest of Rockin.
Dodd would not have us visiting the small town if it was all fun and games. Chase BigFoot and follow along with me as we explore Alaska in this new series.
