I have wanted to read Rock Paper Scissors by Alice feeney since it was released and I was lucky enough to get an audio copy from my library on a skip the line request.

The Story is told from 2 POV Amelia's, Adam's and then a letter written on the anniversary of Adams wedding.

Amelia and Adam go to scotland on a weekend getaway that Amelia has won in a raffle. They are having marital problems and are hoping this will help.

Problem is... no one is there when they arrive and the place is full of dust. Someone has lured them there and it doesn't look like either of them will be leaving..

It was really quite atmospheric. The old chapel converted to a home is creepy and the vibe screams danger... RUN!!

I liked the audio voices for the book. They did a great job of making it extra spooky. Creaking floorboards, smiley faces in the dust... Power that gets turned off out of nowhere. No water or heat. Oh man that scares me enough without the added creeps the book gives off in spades.

It was pretty twisty and turny and the added bonus of both narrators being unreliable helped build a story you can't quite trust and I love that feeling. Like you have stepped down the stairs and missed it. That whooping in your stomach, unsettled... on edge feeling that I adore with psychological thrillers.

I loved the ending. Did not see it coming! I liked that they used Adam having prosopagnosia, face blindness, as the reason for not knowing what was going on and it highlights how hard it is to make connections with people. I found the whole thing with Adam and the author a little unsettling and I love how that played out too.

4 stars! I was really glad I got to read this one.
