Rubber City Ruins

A hot July sun burned into the dried needles of the annual Christmas tree at the Lock 3 Amphitheater in downtown Akron. Weeds wove chaotic pathways around the dead branches that were adorned with faded red bulbs and rocking horses. The city had been abandoned and left for the Earth to reclaim. Under the decay and dust were secrets that would soon be uncovered the day Anna returned home.
