Enjoyed reading this work of science fiction/near-future speculative fiction. The idea of math as a superpower is fun and the main character is an intriguing anti-hero/a$$hole with an interesting back story. There is a plot point where it sort-of makes me give it an arched brow and 3 stars instead of 4. But that aside, we are talking about a well imagined world, characters who are well fleshed out, flawed and believable, and plots that drive hard. Entertaining and makes you think about the power of math.
