Ruthless

I'm giving this one 3-Stars because the writing itself was excellent. The plot was also very engaging. That said, this is the last book I will read in this series. I am just not a huge fan of my hero having sex with other women while wanting (and pursuing) the heroine. On top of that, the heroes (and I use the term loosely here) of both of the two books I have read have been complete douches. I am sure many readers will love this book (and rightfully so). They're just not my cup of tea at the moment.

I did have one pretty major issue with this one, and I am going to put it in spoiler tags, so don't read if you don't want to be spoiled...M'Kay! I had a HUGE issue with the fact that not only did Hudson make it look like the heroine tried to commit suicide, but he also RAPED her. Yet, it is NEVER mentioned...Not ONCE for the rest of the book!! I mean, it was implied that the rape was hurting her, doing damage, hence the stomach hurting comment, but no one says a peep about her being violated? I kept waiting for her to tell Callan. Or Oliver to tell him. Anyone really...rape should never be just thrown into a book without at least a bit of follow up. Just MY 2 cents though...
