And in the house where she spent her most magical years she finds a series of letters addressed to her. Each of those letters is a piece of a story that will upend completely the world she thought she knew - and throw her into a love more powerful than she ever imagined could be possible. This story was so sweet and so sad, it gave me flashbacks of reading The Notebook.
I loved Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas and Sam's Letters to Jennifer was just amazing. I love that love was the main theme and that it was grasped and not just ignored or fought. Definitely going to recommend this read!
I've been reading a lot lately. I picked this book from my shelf of books to read, and I couldn't put it down. I read it in only a couple days. A wonderful, endearing story of the love between a grandmother and her granddaughter. They form a close friendship bond after the loss of several other family members. Samantha (grandmother, Sam) becomes ill and Jennifer (granddaughter) moves to Sam's home in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin while Sam is recovering. Jennifer finds some letters her grandmother wrote to her and begins reading the story of Sam's life beginning with her marriage. Each letter brings her closer to the present day. Since I live in Northern Illinois, I have visited Lake Geneva and could picture the scenes as if I were there. This book also tells about several love stories and different types of pain felt when a person is in love. I cried and laughed and absolutely loved this book.
