I've read almost all of Mary Kay Andrews's books and this is probably one of my favorites. I have a soft spot for the vintage-wearing, quirky Southern girl romances and MK does them well, with lots of iced tea and boiled shrimp details.

It was sweet and marginally realistic story with a pleasing happy ending. No contractor I know has $750,000 handy but it made for a good tension point and a happy resolution. The characters were realistically flawed but likable as well and that helped. If you like a light romance with a side of “y'all” this will fit the bill.
