Listen. This entire year every time I saw this book I was envious. I had probably started it 3 times and got about 30% in just to dnf but DEEP in my heart I knew I'd love it. From first glance this book would be a winner for me. It has age gap, daddy action, little hate to love vibes, and morally grey MMC. Let me tell ya, the first 30% isn't bad but something didn't keep my interest each time. Once I got past it, I forgot the world existed and this book became the only thing I knew.

Barone is so punchable but that is what took this from an okay book to a favorite. He was thinking with his cock and money for the first half of the book. He put his own needs above Amaras simply for his surprising infatuation. But oh god when he changes, when the redemption arc arcs, it is perfection. The attraction and pure lust keeps you enthralled in the book but the slow build of love is what made this perfection.

I adored this. So much care taking and two strong willed characters when they give in, it is oh so sweet.
