In this eagerly awaited follow-up, brave bird-kid Max and her flock are discovered by an FBI agent and forced to go to "school." There is no such thing as an ordinary day as Max deciphers how and when she's supposed to save the world, and she faces her greatest enemy--a clone of herself.

Okay, so I wasn't impressed by the first book in the series, but I have to finish a story that I've started. Sometimes, my stubbornness works in my favour. The writing has improved and I'm now thoroughly enjoying the series, impatient to find out what happens next with Max and her flock.
Read 100 pages. Decided not to read anymore of this or future books. Goes no where. Explores many of the same things. Page turner for sure, but only because it is broken up into small chapter and very little happens in each chapter.
It was sooo good, although the seond Max kind of freaked me out.
And Ari's wanting to be Max's friend and kill her @ the same time is kind of strange-o. And the Fang/Max thing keeps getting weirder. But its still a good book, extremely well-written. I hope the third one doesn't suck...
