It's finally here! Six years and almost one-thousand pages have all led to this epic finale! With six of Ramona's seven evil exes dispatched, it should be time for Scott Pilgrim to face Gideon Graves, the biggest and baddest of her former beaus. But didn't Ramona take off at the end of Book 5? Shouldn't that let Scott off the hook? Maybe it should, maybe it shouldn't, but one thing is for certain—all of this has been building to Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour!

Very bummed upon finishing. Volume 6 renegs on everything I loved about the first volume. It seemed contrived and almost humorless. I think I would have torn the book in half if Wallace said ‘Guy' one more time. (That might be a personal pet peeve though.) I appreciated the sight gag of the Memory Cam and any storyline involving Kim. She rocks.
Rated three stars for nostalgia sake.

This was a bittersweet read - I've been a big fan of the Scott Pilgrim books for the past few years, enough that I've been re-reading the previous books in the series each time a new one came out. And now it's done.
The series is brought to a very fitting end - we learn about Gideon, Ramona's ex who started the League of Evil Ex-Boyfriends, why he started it, and why Scott's had to fight them. Seemingly every minor character makes a final appearance, and everyone ends up a bit wiser and more mature, even Scott, no matter how much he might try to fight it.
Along the way we get the same mix of video game logic, indie rock, and comics references that the series has featured throughout, and some great gags that are as funny as anything else in the series (Scott's “memory cam” primarily). If you've been loving the series so far, you should love this one too.
Because I am too lazy to write reviews and give a rating for each individual volume, the rating for this review will be for the entire series.
It's been awhile since I've read something so enjoyable that I wanted to finish everything in a single day and also one of the few comics/books/manga that managed to make me speak loudly IRL (the pirate swearing Monkey Island reference).
