Sheriff Mel Crane ends up on an unforgettable Haunted Halloween trail.
Mel gets a call from Hannah asking for a ride from a friend's house. When she gets there, nothing is what it seems. There is a huge Halloween party of women going on where clothes are optional. Tricks are plentiful. Hannah is nowhere to be found. Then somewhere along the line, Mel ends up in her own handcuffs and begging for mercy and more.
I won't get into a lot of detail about the action as this is a novella, but let's just say we are seeing a whole new side to Anne Hagan in the Secret Masquerade (2019). A new side to Hagan and Mel (laugh) is what I should be saying. This was a delightful change of pace for me. Let me just say for die hard Hagan mystery fans - this is NOT a mystery. This is about love, sex, and eroticism. Hagan wrote in a Tweet that she had “Kitty in mind when she wrote the story.” Well “Hello Kitty!” you totally need to hang out with Anne more often.
There is a little bit of everything in here for the reader who loves eroticism. I do not want to give away the ending, but you will be satisfied. Hagan knocks it out of the park and I really do hope that she writes more of this type of genre as she really does it well (laugh now I sound like the ‘80s song). Kudos!
I received an ARC of this book from Author Anne Hagan and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily
